Course Outline

This course provides a fundamental understanding of why organizations (public or private) need Business Continuity Management (BCM). The course will take into account the importance of BCM and how BCM can assist in ensuring the welfare and stability of the nation at all times. It also encompasses the relationship between BCM and Emergency Response/Crisis Management. This course is designed for those in the organization leadership team to build their capability and provide them insight to BCM. All the participants will have a clear understanding of the different stages of the NCEMA BCM action model, and will also be able to understand the steps, roles and responsibilities, skills and expertise required to implement an effective BCM Program.   

Training methodologies comprise of instructor-led power point slides, videos, as well as short individual/group exercises. The participants will benefit immensely from the concept of “group learning and sharing” of experiences and some tips about the “best practices” and how “others have done it”.
This course prepares you to understand and apply the concepts of UAE BCM Standard to safeguard your interests, and the interest of your organization as well as the community at large.
