The Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), today announced the offering of new combined courses that introduce relevant aviation law to the centre’s popular courses in aviation operations and management modules taught at the centre. Aviation law elements will be included in airport aviation management, airport commercial management and air transport management courses with the aim of improving awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks and rules among professionals in the UAE, and the region. The unique specialized programs, the first of its kind to become available in the region, are geared towards the needs of top and middle management of industry practitioners in both civilian and military sectors.

The first of these specialised courses were launched at GCAS end of April this year and were attended by senior officials from the General Civil Aviation Authority, Royal Jet, Dubai Airports, and ADAC various airports, subsidiaries and departments.

Dr. Othman Al Khouri, Deputy General Manager of GCAS, said: “GCAS is focusing on delivering essential academic initiatives serving aviation and transportation sectors in the UAE and beyond. The introduction of combined aviation law courses is part of our continuous commitment towards developing a pool of local and regional aviation talents.”

GCAS is offering the new tailored aviation law courses with a focus on three specific areas within the aviation activities: Airport Operation Management and Aviation law, Airport Commercial Management and Aviation Law, and Air Transport Management and Aviation Law. These short specialized training programs provide a rare opportunity to participants enabling them to enhance their current qualification and achieve the much wanted competitive edge to excel in the dynamic world of aviation. Programs are delivered by globally reputed aviation expert with an extensive hands-on experience in all facets of aviation and hold highly rated academic qualifications and positions at world renowned universities.

GCAS has been certified recently as the World’s first “TRAINAIR PLUS” training centre by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and is the exclusive JAATO aviation training centre in the Middle East region.
